Mel and his team are outstanding and very helpful in everything they do for us. We take both our cars to them for MOTs, annual servicing etc with a quick turnaround. We had a serious problem recently with our Diesel Particulate Filter … More (DPF) which turned out to be a BIG JOB and required many hours work in taking out the whole engine, removing the filter and sending it off to cleaning.
I can't begin to imagine how much it would have cost for a main dealership to undertake!

Notify me nothing about brake disc wearing during a service, then went straight into MOT and failed. Left me a failed MOT record and ask for £800 to repair something that should’ve been fixed. Avoid at all cost, what a shame.

Really? … More You knew ‘brake disc will fail in MOT’ before doing it, don’t act like you don’t. It is remarked on the 19/1 service report, which I finally received after everything was done on 4/2. I never receive it or being asked to fix it before MOT. You have the service record in hand saying brake will fail but not letting me know and still put it through MOT. Does it make any sense? I didn’t show up here and ask for a MOT alone, unbelievable. -

Had my Yamaha R1 stored for over a year, and then couldn’t get it going again. I searched around for mobile mechanics, and stumbled upon a place local to me in Bracknell. I called them up, and spoke to the owner who said they could collect … More my bike, however there would be a wait as they were fully booked. I thought this must be a good sign! Collection day and my bike was collected, and within the hour I had been updated with part 1 of the fault. By lunchtime the fault was fully diagnosed and fixed. The bike was also booked in for a service and MOT. One again, super clear communication - the bike failed due to an illegal light. Thijs was rectified super quickly with a legal light - which I am really pleased with (I thought it would be ugly, but looks better than before).
Collected the bike today, rides like a dream, and I now have my car booked in. I have found a reliable mechanic, where I am more than happy to take my repeat business too.

Went here a little while ago for new tyres and a map. Not only was I laughed at on the phone for my tyre choice (as if it matters it's my bike and my personal preference) but Mel had a month to prepare the map and after three hours … More upon arrival I finally got told Mel couldn't do it and STILL hadn't fitted either tyre yet. I wasn't going to put this on here as I had already expressed my displeasure at the centre at the time and I don't like negative reviews but I have now just gone for my MOT and my bike FAILED on account of the fact he had put the WHOLE WHEEL on the wrong way round. I mean! How is that even possible when you do this for a living 😂😂😂 absolute joke of a "professional" which has caused me more money and agro in the long run.

15 weeks to get 3.5 hours work done.
A carb strip (blocked mains )that needed new jets (no notice taken of the jets size so incorrect jets fitted - I've NEVER seen brass contaminated to the point you cant read the jets size)
Returned … More in a shite state looked like it had been dumped in a corner and left to rust & covered in overspray from the pressure washer.
I fixed the leaky fuel tap and rejetted it correctly eventually myself - which is what I was avoiding doing in the 1st place.
Abysmal communication coupled with 3 months without the bike.
They did stick some parking lights on and fold a bracket to get the reg plate "motable"
Mel's a nice guy but I don't think I'll be a returning customer.
2 stars because if nothing else they got it running & put a ticket on it. -
Had some work done on my campervan after it had failed it’s mot. Was quoted 2 hours work but completed within 1hour Mel explained what was done will definitely use again

Where do I even start. My bike went in with a battery charging issue at the start of the year. Two weeks in and I still hadn’t had an update so I gave them a call only to find out that they hadn’t even worked on it yet! They insured me … More that they would make it their top priority. A week went by with still no update so I called again and they still hadn’t looked it. They then finally looked at it and said that it needed a new wiring loom which I had to supply myself. I then had a wiring loom delivered to them which they insured me that it was 100% the right one. Once the wiring loom turned up they then called me to say that the bike was ready to collect. On my way there I then receive a call saying that the bike is no longer working. 2 weeks later they give me a call saying that the wiring loom isn’t the right one! They then told me that I need a new regulator which they said that they would order and it would be there that week and they would fit it the same day. On the day that they said the bike would be ready for I called them and they said that the bike wasn’t ready. I then asked for a date on when it would be ready and they said that they didn’t know because the part still wasn’t there 3 days after it was supposedly coming and so I ordered the part myself and had it delivered to them the same week. They then charged me for the regulator that they ordered which never turned up as well as three hours labour just to fit a wiring loom! In the end it took 2 MONTHS to give my bike back and gave it back without the number plate. I then had to return the following day to collect it. Their diagnosis is just throwing parts at it until something worked. Absolutely useless and for the price they charged for my bike to come back with improperly fitted fairing and loose indicators is appalling. I Would advise avoiding this circus of a garage.

There is something about this guy that gives off all the right signals to be able to trust someone. No waffle, no lip service, just honesty. Not one of the cheapest I have found, but that is because he uses genuine parts or parts he trusts. … More Pay once and get a trusted job done I have learnt. One marker of a quality job I have always used is you will have to wait to get your vehicle in his workshop and that is because he is people's first choice, and their first recommendation.
He knows his way around a motorcycle as well, the only trusted motorcycle mechanic in bracknell who is not going to bodge a job to save a few quid unlike another I had a costly experience of that wrote my bike off due to a faulty part he used. -

So I went to Mel's for the first time, after reading such positive reviews, expecting a 5-star service but what I received was far from it. After agreeing on the job that needed to be done on my bike with Mel (I think) himself, i left … More my bike at the garage for a full day to replace my radiator and fix my rear brake. I went to collect my bike at the end of the day to discover that only my radiator had been fixed and my break had been completely forgotten. After asking more info, Mel told me that he didn't have time for it, that he was only going to do my radiator today (which is not what we had agreed the day before). And when I mentioned that fixing my break was more urgent than replacing the radiator he said "you still have the front brake mate"... very professional!
Not only that, when I mentioned that I had paid more than I had been told initially and only half of the job had been done, it turned out that they have "accidentally" charged me twice the labour time... funny, maybe that's why I wasn't given a report or invoice of the work been done?
I was looking forward to have my bike fixed today. I am so disappointed, i feel like i have been cheated.
I can't say I will bring my bike back but man I am so disappointed!!! -

Took may LDV Maxus for an MOT today, it failed on two bulbs which normally I would have checked and changed my self before the MOT. They changed the two bulbs without an extra charge and re tested and passed. Nice to see an honnest MOT … More testing place. Highly recommended!
